  • 台大醫院副院長吳明賢晚間接受中央社記者採訪時表示，陳定信數十年來關心研究進展，也熱愛教學，儘管早已退休，每天仍到辦公室從事研究工作，且到臨床指導後進。陳定信樹立了醫師科學家的榜樣，帶領許多優秀的後輩為台灣貢獻所長。
  • 研究成果可為臨床治療扎根，吳明賢說，自己印象很深刻，從前擔任住院醫師時曾聽陳定信說過，當醫師看病，一次只能救一個人；但透過好的研究，可以一次幫助很多人。因重視研究的精神，陳定信帶領的研究團隊享譽國際，台灣不管是肝病研究或臨床治療都是世界一流水準。
  • 此外，吳明賢說，陳定信也非常有台灣本土意識，扎根台灣、放眼國際。過去台灣消化系醫學會曾一度因中國因素，差點被國際消化系醫學會除名；當時也是因陳定信的國際名望和台灣在肝病領域的佳績，讓國際不容忽視。

聽完昨天lab meeting後、給奕宏的建議

覺得YH昨天的lab meeting slide整理進步許多，值得嘉許，請繼續保持、再精進~

雖然還有DAVID/KEGG部分沒有報完，我想請奕宏以NCKU-OrCA-40TN (n=80) 這一組data，替代TCGA HNSC (n=526) 作類似分析，建議步驟如下

  1. 請至 ExpLog_2020_04 YHL區，取一個實驗代號，題目為Molecular subtyping of NCKU-OrCA-40TN by DeClust method
  2. NCKU-OrCA-40TN expression matrix 及 metadata 請由NHRI_NICR_R2-1211/2019_12_Xena...下載
    • expression matrix = exprs.0419.18047.txt
    • metadata = clinical_features_20200610.txt
    • 另有一筆R markdown file, 是我讀開這兩個txt檔的筆記供參。
  3. 請照昨天的作法，先run DeClut，看看這80個檢體可跑出幾個subtype
  4. 跑Estimate，了解每個檢體 stromal, immune, estimated tumor 分數。
  5. 跑CIBERSORTx. 這一次用Puram (就是昨天你show的head and neck scRNA-seq)
下週二因為TY要rehearsal JC paper, 所以再下ㄧ週 (07/07)，由你來報這邊的進度:-)

突變病毒或對抗體「免疫」據《The Science Times》報道，重慶醫科大學校長黃愛龍團隊於醫學預印平台bioRxiv發表研究論文，當中透露與新發地市場有關的至少3名患者體內，發現原本僅在歐洲流行的D614G突變病毒。團隊其後嘗試以人工方法複製D614G病毒株，以此感染從新冠肺炎康復者體內所抽出、具有抗體的血液樣本。結果顯示，從3名康復者身上所得之血液樣本抗體，均無法有效抵抗D614G突變病毒感染，41個樣本當中甚至有1個對D614G突變病毒幾近完全無效，反映新冠肺炎康復者即使已有抗體，亦不代表能夠對已發生突變的病毒免疫。突變後感染力或增2至10倍。事實上，較早前美國聖地牙哥已有針對D614G突變的相關研究。研究發現，病毒經D614G突變後，刺突蛋白（spike proteins）或有所增加，這關係到病毒感染人體細胞的能力，團隊認為D614G感染人體的效率將提高10倍。重慶亦曾進行類似研究，結果顯示D614G突變的感染力大約增加2.4倍。研究指出病毒經突變後可能增加其感染力，惟報道指相關結果並未經同行審議，亦缺乏臨床數據支持，有關病毒出現突變後感染力、對受感染者影響甚至會否左右潛伏期長短等資料仍有待研究。

The hybrid E/M phenotype of EMT 竟然與 collective migration有關


Survival Outcomes in Cancer Patients Predicted by a Partial EMT Gene Expression Scoring Metric (PubMed Link)

Recent experimental and theoretical evidence suggests that cells can be stably halted en route to EMT in a hybrid E/M phenotype. Cells in this phenotype tend to move collectively, forming clusters of circulating tumor cells that are key tumor-initiating agents.
